A child died after a fire engulfed a house in Nisdi Rural Municipality-3 of Palpa on Saturday.

Local Tol Bahadur Palli’s nine-year-old daughter was killed after the inferno gutted the house of one Shyam Bahadur Palli at noon.

The victim, and two other boys, were alone in the house at the time of the incident, police said. The fire was doused by police and locals.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
