One more person tests positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of cases to 31

Health authorities confirmed one more case of Covid-19 on Saturday, pushing the total number of confirmed cases to 31.
The latest patient, originally from Biratnagar-17, is among the 16 men who were brought to Biratnagar from a mosque in Udayapur for tests. Twelve of them had tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday.

A polymerase chain reaction test carried out on the 65-year-old man at the Koshi Hospital confirmed the infection, Dr Basudev Pandey, director of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, said.
“I have been informed that the man is among those who were residing at the Udayapur mosque,” Pandey told the Post.
The man has been kept at a quarantine facility in Tandi, Morang, along with three other suspects.
He will be transferred to the isolation facility at Koshi Hospital on Sunday, according to the hospital.
On Friday, 12 people, including 11 Indians, residing in the mosque in Udayapur, had tested positive for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, three people have successfully recovered from the disease so far. Two of them were discharged from hospitals in Kathmandu and Baglung on Saturday.
