Cabinet forms national trade facilitation committee

The government has decided to form a national trade facilitation committee led by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ramesh Rijal. The committee will have representatives from the private sector as well.
A Cabinet meeting held on Thursday took the decision, according to Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, who is also the government’s spokesperson.
The meeting also appointed Uma Shankar Prasad as member of the National Planning Commission and Bikram Rai as vice-chair of Nepal Airlines Corporation.
Likewise, the government appointed Lekhnath Lama and Dr Sahara Shrestha as members of the Nardevi Ayurveda Hospital Development Committee.
The meeting also approved the tabling of the bill to amend the Secured Transaction Act 2006 in the federal Parliament.
