Three killed in Sarlahi brick kiln wall collapse

Three people were killed and two others injured after a stack of bricks collapsed at a brick kiln in Sarlahi on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at Krishna Brick Industry in Majurwa of ward 5 of Haripur Municipality while workers were extracting bricks from the kiln.
A police team led by Police Inspector Shiva Katel from the Area Police Office, Haripur, reached the site immediately after receiving information about the incident and rescued the injured workers.
According to the District Police Office, the deceased have been identified as Fetai Mansur, 50, of ward 7 of Gaudaita Municipality; Shambhu Raut, 35, of ward 9 of the same municipality; and Angad Kumar, around 35, from Lakhimpur, India.
The injured are Tulasi Mahato, 32, and Satya Narayan Mahato, 52, both of ward 7 of Malangawa Municipality.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai said Tulasi was undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Malangawa, while Satya Narayan was receiving treatment at a local clinic in Majurwa.
Police said an excavator was being used at the site for further search and debris clearance operations.
