Two people died and another sustained serious injuries when two motorcycles collided near Panitanki in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-2, Bara, on Sunday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Raj Pandit, the collision occurred when the motorcycles travelling in opposite directions lost control and crashed into each other.
One of the riders, 28-year-old Mahesh Pandit of Saptari’s Basbittapur Municipality-7, suffered severe head and leg injuries and died while undergoing treatment at LS Neuro Hospital in Parwanipur.
The other rider, 25-year-old Roshan Chaudhary of Gujara Municipality-7 in Rautahat, died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Kalaiya after sustaining head and leg injuries.
Another passenger, 34-year-old Bhupendra Chaudhary of the same locality, suffered injuries to his arm and leg and is receiving treatment at LS Neuro Hospital, police said.
