Three dead, 40 injured in Udayapur bus accident

A bus carrying picnickers met with an accident in Udayapur district on Saturday, killing three people and injuring 40 others.
According to Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa, chief of Udayapur District Police Office, a 40-year-old bus driver, an 11-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl died after the bus skidded off the road and fell some 40 feet down at Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-7.
Thapa said the bus met with an accident after the driver lost control of the steering on a steep descent.
Five people have sustained deep injuries and are receiving treatment at Udayapur District Hospital.
The bus was carrying picnickers from Deuri in Triyuga Municipality-6.
