People from Santhal community in Jhapa district these days are busy performing their traditional dance in various fairs organised during Dashain festival.
Santhal, locally known as Satar, celebrate Dashain festival by performing their dance. Santhal communities are found in Rajgadh, Baigundhura, Gauradaha, Surunga, Gauradaha, Topgachi, Kohabara, Mahabhara, Jalthal, Kechana, Garamani among other places.
The performance by this community, of late, has become the main center of attraction of various fairs in the district.
