UML top brass absent from Indian embassy reception

Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae had hosted a reception in honour of visiting Indian President Pranab Mukherjee at the embassy on Wednesday evening, where leaders of various political parties, government officials and chiefs of security agencies among others were present.
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal, however, did not attend the reception.
Oli, Khanal and Nepal are former prime ministers.
According to party sources, invitation for Oli “did not arrive on time”. Oli, however, attended the state banquet hosted by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari in honour of her Indian counterpart Mukherjee on Wednesday evening. According to the party sources said Khanal and Nepal are currently out of the country.
UML leaders Bhim Rawal and Bishnu Poudel, however, were seen at the Indian embassy reception.
