An unknown person on Monday hurled stone on a brand-new bus belonging to Mahanagar Yatayat at Balkhu in the Capital. The windowpane of the bus was broken.
It is still not clear who hurled the stones and the motive behind it.
The Mahanagar Yatayat rolled out 39 high-tech Metro buses for operation around Ring Road from Sunday.
The company’s Vice-chairman Santosh Khatiwada said they would knock on the door of district administration as they feel insecure following the incident.
He said they buses were brought for offering transportation service around Ring Road with the approval from Department of Transport and Federation of Nepali National Transport Entrepreneurs Association.
The company has promised to ensure facilities like Wi-Fi, GPS system and TV, among others, in the 32-seater bus.
