A tractor fell 15 feet below the Karnali highway at the Uthile area near the Chandannath Municipality -13 killing one and leaving three injured on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as driver's helper, Amar Khatri, 35, of Chandannath Municipality -1, said District Police Office, Jumla.

Police said the tractor was transporting sand when the fatality occurred. The injured persons - Harish Chandra Rawal of Chandannath Municipality -9, Dinesh Shahi of Chandannath - 2 and Balbir BK of Chandannath 2 - are undergoing treatment at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Jumla, said Dr Arjun Prasad Tiwari of the Academy.

Tiwari added that among the injured, Rawal's condition is serious. The police are yet to determine the cause of the accident. RSS
