The death toll of the road accident that took place at Tripur-3 along the Ghorahi-Tulsipur road section in the district reached eight on Thursday.

Police said 22-year-old Chhabilal Nepali died while undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical College in Banke. Seven people died and 22 were injured when a Ghorahi-bound microbus (Ra 1 Ja 372) collided with a bus (Ra 1 Ka 191) belonging to Padmodaya Public Higher Secondary Schoolcollided with a school bus on Wednesday.

Superintendent of Police Kuber Kadayat said 20 seriously injured passengers are receiving treatment in Kohlapur and Butwal.
