Protesters burn copies of amendment bill in Siraha
Supporters of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha have burnt copies of constitution amendment bill at Siraha on Sunday. A rally was taken out from Mahabir Chok in district headquarters Siraha that turned into a corner assembly at Campus Chok. Morcha’s leaders burnt the copies during the assembly.
Sadbhawana Party’s Siraha district Chairman Bharat Mahato urged locals to completely shut down market places, shops, transportation in the district from Monday.
The Morcha’s cadres vandalised office of revenue department saying it was opened while the Morcha was demonstrating. They also mishandled the officials and vandalised around six motorcycles parked at the office premise.
Protesters vandalise vehicle carrying patient
An Indian vehicle carrying a patient was vandalised by the cadres of Madhesi Morcha at Siraha today. The vehicle (HR 26AI 3228) sustained broken glasses in the attack. Sixty-year-old Bishweshor Sah of Golbazar Municipality was being ferried to Darbhanga, India in the vehicle after he got paralysed.
Vehicle driver and kin of victim said that the protesters vandalised the vehicle although they were made aware about the patient.
