CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has remarked that the agitating Sumyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) has kept the Madhesi people in dark to create unrest in the Tarai region. He said the new constitution of Nepal has not stripped the rights of anybody. 

Addressing a district level gathering of party cadres in Chandranigahapur on Thursday, leader Nepal directed the party cadres to distribute copies of the constitution in villages and to explain the Madhesi people about their rights. Nepal showed a copy of constitution at the programme and said, “See for yourself if the rights of Madhesi, indigenous, Tharu and Muslims have been stripped.” He challenged Madhesi leaders to come and argue with a logical reason. 

Nepal criticised the Madhesi Morcha saying that they sought support from India after they were ignored by residents of Madhes.
