The District Administration Office, Parsa, has lifted a curfew order clamped from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm today after gradual improvement in the district’s security situation.

A meeting of the District Security Committee held this morning, however, has decided to continue the earlier move of issuing the riot-hit area, Chief District Officer of Parsa Anuj Bhandari said.

The locals have felt a great sigh of relief after the administration’s decision to lift the curfew order. The District Administration Office had been imposing an indefinite curfew and riot-hit area in Birgunj since August 31 citing insecurity. RSS
