Three prominent personalities—Dr Naresh Trehan, chairman and managing director of Medanta - The Medicity, and Indian parliamentarians Shatrughan Singha and T Subbirami Reddy—unveiled the book.
The highlight of the event was a discussion between Chaudhary and Hindol Sengupta, a renowned author and editor of Fortune India. The book was first published in Nepali by Nepalaya in 2013. It was later translated into English and again published by Nepalaya in 2016. The current version of the book, ‘Making it Big’ has been revised and published by Penguin for the South Asian market excluding Nepal.
The memoir traces the life and journey of Chaudhary, an empire builder and philanthropist who is known for his indomitable passion for growing his business.
The book narrates stiff challenges and obstacles he faced and how he rose to setting
up one of South Asia’s leading business groups—CG Corp Global.
Chaudhary is also the president of the Chaudhary Group which has investments in banking, insurance, finance and housing in Nepal.
He has also invested in hotels and real estate, and collaborates, among others, with India’s Taj Group.
