East Nawalparasi:
Four vultures were found dead near the Kerunge River in Kawasoti Municipality Ward 3 on Thursday evening.
Vulture conservationist DB Chaudhary said that the vultures must have died after consuming chickens poisoned to death by poultry farmers and placed as a bait to kill jackals, which are a major threat to poultry farmers.
“Five months ago, five vultures were found dead in the very same area. Veterinary technicians have started an investigation, and a detailed investigation will be conducted after the arrival of the autopsy reports of the dead vultures," said Chaudhary.
