Dr Nawaraj KC’s debut book ‘Shunya ko Mulya’ launched

Dr Nawaraj KC’s book ‘Shunya ko Mulya’ was launched at an event in Kathmandu. The book was made public by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Dr Aruna Uprety, Dr Rita Thapa, and actress Surakshya Pant. By profession, Dr KC is a paediatrician and has been practising in his home district, Surkhet, for many years. ‘Shunya ko Mulya’ is his debut book.
Speaking at the launch event, Dr Uprety said, “‘Shunya ko Mulya’ tells the story of the state of women’s health in Karnali and the entire Nepal. The book presents Karnali’s grim reality and the stories that exist in the region.”
Actress Pant also recounted her experience living in Karnali during the launch event. She added, “From regular readers to policymakers, everyone will find the book interesting. Given the topics the book addresses, it is a must-read for medical professionals and policymakers.”
During the book launch, Bhattarai spoke about how he has already read ‘Shunya ko Mulya’ twice. He also went on to say, “There were only a handful of books in Nepali that I have read twice, and Dr KC’s book is one of them.”
The book was published by Sangri~La Books.
