The Bangladesh Embassy, in association with the Art Bangla Foundation of Bangladesh and Siddhartha Art Gallery, is organising an art festival ‘From the Mountains to the Delta’. The event featuring the paintings of artists from Bangladesh and Nepal will run until May 10.

The artist’s works in the festival convey inherent human expressions such as love, loss, pain, tragedies, etc.

The event was inaugurated on Tuesday by the SAARC Secretary General, Golam Sarwar.

According to the ambassador of Bangladesh, Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury, the art festival is directed at promoting cultural exchange and collaboration between the two nations. He further emphasised that the relationship between the two countries is based on their deeply rooted social, cultural and civilisational linkages.

“Such a unique feature has led both Bangladesh and Nepal to share a common goal of preserving their existing cultures and traditions,” he said.

The theme of the programme, ‘From the Mountains to the Delta’, was also based on the diversity and convergence of the cultural values of both nations.
