Artist Bhattarai awarded in Bangkok

Nepali artist Anita Bhattarai was honoured in Bankok, during an exhibition organised by the organisation Focus Bangaladesh. Bhattarai received the ‘Honourable Mention’ award on the last day of the show.
The week-long exhibit featured works by artists from countries such India, Pakistan, Bangaldesh, USA, and Italy, among others. Artist Bhattarai was the sole representative from Nepal.
Artist Bhattarai works primarily with watercolour, and upon receiving the award, she said, “It is an honour not only for me, but for Nepali watercolour painting arena as a whole.”
“The award has helped to propagate the state of Nepali arts in the global arena, even if that is to a small measure,” Bhattarai added.
