Applications open for the best dancer

During a press conference held at the Russian Culture Centre, Kamalpokhari, the principal of the academy, Julia Koirala, announced that the reason for conducting the competition was to attract talented dancers from across the country and give them the opportunity to showcase their skills.
Koirala also revealed that the main dance choreographer of the competition will be Alize Biannic, a ballerina from the Royal Ballet, UK, who also performed in the movie Black Swan. The participants will be judged by Namrata Shrestha, Akash Adhikari and Mithila Sharma.
The academy, which was established nearly four years back, aims to promote Nepali dance and music and provide opportunities to emerging as well as established talents in these fields of art.
The deadline for the submission of applications is March 6. The grand finale will be held on April 4.
