Director Nembang ‘kills self’
Film director Alok Nembang committed suicide on Thursday evening at his Dhapasi-based Grandi Villa apartment, Nepal Police said.

Sanu Ram Bhattarai, DSP at the Metropolitan Police Range in Mahargunj confirmed the suicide. “Around 2:30pm, we recovered his dead body hanging at the ladder in the own residence,” Bhattarai said, adding that further investigation is under way.

The cause behind suicide is not known immediately. The director of Nepali movies Sano Sanar and Kohi Mero was also well-known in music video direction as well. Kohi Mero, the last movie he directed, is set to be released on February 27.
Nembang, who studied art, theatre, cinema and choreography, had also worked as producer at the entertainment section of Kantipur Television. He had directed over 400 music videos, beginning from Nabin K Bhattarai’s song—Lakhau patak maile kosis gare. He was single.
