Soon after the World Health Organisation declared the Covid-19 a pandemic on March 11, nations across the world began restricting movements. Countries went on lockdown. Thirteen days later, Nepal followed suit and enforced a nationwide lockdown, beginning from March 24.
People were forced inside. In the past few weeks, Nepal has seen an exponential rise in Covid-19 cases. As of Monday, Nepal has reported 682 cases of coronavirus with four deaths. In light of the increasing cases and the deaths due to Covid-19, the government, on May 17, decided to extend the lockdown until June 2.
