Bir Bahadur Mahara wins gold in Taekwondo

Nepali athlete Bir Bahadur Mahara won the gold medal in men's 68kg category in Taekwondo. The silver went to Muhammad Faheem of Pakistan.

Nepal win Silver in Women's volleyball

Nepal were denied the gold medal in women's volleyball after they lost to India in a five-set thriller on Tuesday.

Nepal had made a dramatic comeback by winning the second and third set after losing the first one. But, the Indian team bounced back strongly and took the fourth and fifth set to win the gold.

Kajal Shrestha wins gold in Taekwondo

Kajal Shrestha won the gold medal in under 46kg category of Taekwondo by defeating her Pakistani opponent Syed Zadi Sidra Batoo.

Sunita Maharjan won gold medal in under 67kg category of Kumite.

Santoshi Shrestha wins gold in 10,000m race

Nepali athlete Santoshi Shrestha won a gold medal in the 10,000 metre race held at Dashrath Stadium on Tuesday. In another athletics event, Tanka Karki won the silver medal in the men's 1,500 metre sprint.

Himal Tamot wins gold in Duathlon

Nepali athlete Himal Tamot won a gold medal in Dualthon race in Pokhara. In the sporting event held in Pokhara, another Nepali athlete Laxman Malla became the runner-up.

The race consisted of 5-km run, 20-km cycling and 2.5 sprint,

Sushmita Tamang wins gold in Wushu

Sushmita Tamang won a gold medal for Nepal in Wushu Taolu. Tamang scored 9.44 in the event, while Sri Lankan athlete secured 8.85 and Bangladeshi athlete scored 7.53.

Bijaya Sinjali wins gold in Wushu

Likewise, Nepali athlete Bijaya Sinjali won a gold in Wushu Taolu by scoring 9.48 points. His rivals—Bangladeshi athlete secured 9.34 and Sri Lankan athlete scored 9.14 points.

Nabin Rasaili wins gold in Karate

Nepali Karateka Nabin Rasaili won a gold medal by defeating Pakistani athlete Mohammad Nasir 8-6 in the 67-kg Kumite.
