Two men held with 54 bullets looted during Gen Z protests

Police arrested two men in possession of 54 rounds of bullets looted from the Area Police Office in Birtamod during the Gen Z protest on September 9.
A joint team from the Narcotics Control Bureau in Kakadbhitta and the Area Police Office in Birtamod, recovered the bullets from a rented room at Ramchok in Birtamod-2 on Wednesday.
According to police, 38 rounds of SLR and 16 rounds of INSAS rifle ammunition were recovered from the room of 27-year-old Israp Khatun, a resident of Bahardashi Rural Municipality-4 and living in Birtamod now.
Police also found a brass plate, a kettle, a brass glass, and a pair of police boots.
Police also detained 22-year-old Bikash Tudu of Birtamod-2 for his alleged involvement in the looting.
Firearms were looted from the Area Police Office in Birtamod during the Gen Z protests. Both detainees are under investigation, said police.
