Dharan
The Dharan-Dhankuta section of the Koshi Highway has been blocked due to landslides following continuous rainfall.
The road near Mulghat and Namaste waterfall was obstructed on Saturday night after landslides piled debris on the highway, police said.
Similarly, the Hile-Pakhribas-Leguwa section of the Mid-Hill Highway has also been closed due to road damage. Excavators from the road division have been mobilised to clear the debris.
The administration has urged the public not to operate vehicles on the blocked stretches. Police in Bhedetar turned back vehicles heading towards Dhankuta from Dharan, according to officials.
