Two men arrested for allegedly raping minor in Jhapa

Jhapa police have arrested two men from Kachankawal Rural Municipality for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.
The suspects, a 71-year-old man with the surname Khatri and a 55-year-old man with the surname Tamang, allegedly lured the minor into Pathivara community forest on Thursday evening. Police said the men threatened and coerced her during the incident.
The victim’s mother filed a complaint with the district police on Sunday, prompting authorities to take both men into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
