A man ‘committed suicide’ after allegedly murdering his wife in Belbari Municipality of Morang district.
Forty-five-year-old Gita Limbu died after she was attacked with a butcher knife allegedly by her husband Bam Bahadur Limbu, 60, in their rented room on Wednesday morning.
Bam Bahadur is suspected to have slit his own throat with the weapon in an attempted suicide. He died in the course of treatment at the Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar, police said.
The couple’s eight-year-old son managed to escape and is unhurt.
