Two people died in a road accident in Tehrathum on Sunday.

According to Bidhya Sagar Mahatto, information officer at the district police office, Myanglung-8 local Sabin Limbu, 24, and 22-year-old Sangam Tamang had suffered severe injuries after the motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident at around 5:30pm.

The overspeeding two-wheeler was headed towards Jirikhimti from Myanglung market.

The duo were rushed to the district hospital for treatment where they succumbed to their injuries, police said.
