Vote counting stalled in Ilam-2
The counting was halted by Congress cadres after finding ballot papers sans the signatures of the election officer.

Vote counting has been stalled in Ilam-2 following a dispute between political parties.
Representatives of the Nepali Congress’ candidate Dambar Bahadur Khadka halted the counting after finding ballot papers without the signatures of the election officer.
With 1,992 votes left to count, CPN-UML vice-chair Subash Chandra Nembang is ahead of Khadka by 130 votes.
As per the latest update, Nembang has garnered 29,135 against Khadka who has so far received 29,005 votes.
