Three injured after gas leak sparks fire in Jajarkot

Three people were injured in a fire caused by a cooking gas leak in Jajarkot district on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 10am at the kitchen of Thalu Prasad Jaisi in ward 2 of Nalgad Municipality, according to the District Police Office, Jajarkot.
Police said the fire broke out when his wife, 42-year-old Maya, attempted to light a flame using a lighter, triggering an explosion after a gas leak.
Maya, her 22-year-old son Ganesh, and her 37-year-old sister Rupa Jaisi were injured in the incident, Police Inspector Ek Bahadur Nepali said.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Nalgad Municipal Hospital, where one of them is in critical condition, he said. The fire has been brought under control, and further investigation is underway, police said.
