Two people were killed after a jeep met with an accident in ward 6 of Adarsha Rural Municipality in Doti on Tuesday.
According to the District Police Office, Doti, the deceased have been identified as Subodh Rokaya, 22, and Kailash BK, 19, both from ward 3 of the rural municipality.
Police said the jeep was heading from Girichauka to Kandisyaule when it lost control on a bend and plunged around 900 metres into a river at Sayali Gad at around 12:30am.
Rokaya, who was driving the vehicle, died on the spot. Police said efforts were underway to retrieve the bodies.
