RSP candidate Parasmani Gelal wins from Udayapur-1

Parasmani Gelal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has been elected from Udayapur-1, securing 30,590 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, Rajesh Kumar Rai of the Shram Sanskriti Party, by a margin of 18,984 votes. Rai received 11,606 votes.
Gelal maintained a clear lead from the beginning of the vote count and secured a comfortable victory. A total of 79,956 votes were cast in the constituency.
Baldev Chaudhary of the Nepali Communist Party came third with 10,021 votes. Bidur Basnet of the Nepali Congress received 9,675 votes, while Durga Kumar Thapa of the CPN-UML secured 9,206 votes.
Subash Chandra Khadka of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 941 votes, Ganesh Kumar Rai of the Janata Samajwadi Party got 597 votes, Arjun Tamang of the Ujyalo Nepal Party received 564 votes, Badri Bikram Rai of the Mangal National Organisation got 120 votes, and Amrit Bahadur Khatri of the Nepal Communist Party (Biplav) secured 112 votes.
