Barshaman Pun wins from Rolpa

Nepali Communist Party (NCP) candidate and former finance minister Barshaman Pun has been elected to the House of Representatives from Rolpa with a wide margin.
Pun secured 27,460 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Dr Sudan Kumar Oli, who received 12,008 votes. Pun won the seat by a margin of 15,452 votes.
Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Balaram Thapa came third with 10,894 votes, while CPN-UML’s Gokul Gharti secured 9,933 votes.
Pun has now been elected to the House of Representatives from Rolpa for the third time.
