Two kids drown in pit in Surkhet

Two children died on Monday evening after falling into a pit dug for house construction near their home in ward 9 of Birendranagar Municipality in Surkhet.
The victims are children of Tek Bahadur Katuwal, originally from ward 9 of Tilagupha Municipality, Kalikot.
Locals spotted the children submerged and alerted police, who rescued them and rushed them to Province Hospital, Kalagaun. Doctors declared both dead on arrival, police said.
