Firms warned over unauthorised Google Workspace plans
Tele Digital Services cites rising suspensions, urges businesses to verify subscriptions.Post Report
Tele Digital Services Pvt. Ltd. has warned Nepali businesses against purchasing Google Workspace subscriptions through unauthorised vendors after a rise in account suspensions and service disruptions.
The company, an authorised direct reseller of Google Workspace in Nepal, said several organisations have faced restricted access to email and shared drives due to non-compliant licensing arrangements. In some cases, enforcement actions were taken without businesses being aware that their subscriptions fell outside Google’s approved framework.
According to Tele Digital Services, the official listed price of Google Workspace in Nepal is $7 per user per month. Subscriptions offered below that rate should raise concern, it said, warning that such pricing may indicate the licence was not sourced through authorised distribution channels.
The company also flagged cases where education-specific plans were sold to non-educational organisations at discounted rates, which it said violates licensing policies and increases the risk of suspension and potential data loss.
Nikhhil Kheradi, head of business and marketing at the company, said many affected firms did not knowingly breach terms of service but still faced severe consequences. He urged organisations to audit their subscriptions immediately.
Chief executive Navankur Sood said the company is offering free compliance consultations and structured support, including account assessment and migration assistance.
Tele Digital Services said it has served more than 60 clients across sectors, including finance, education and healthcare.
