Four trekkers rescued from Panbari peak in Gorkha

Four trekkers stranded on Panbari Peak in ward 1 of Chumnubri Rural Municipality, Gorkha, have been rescued.
According to police, six people, including three Italian nationals, had been trapped on the peak since Monday following heavy snowfall.
Those rescued on Sunday morning include Pemba Renji Sherpa, 35, Dawa Chhiri Sherpa, 31, Pasang Tamang, and a 65-year-old Italian national.
District Police Office Gorkha said the four were airlifted from the lower base camp to Samdo by helicopter.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Shrestha said the search is underway for two other Italian nationals still stranded at Base Camp.
