Man dies from electrocution while charging e-rickshaw in Birgunj

A 26-year-old man died from electrocution while charging his electric rickshaw outside his residence in Birgunj Metropolitan City-24, Ramgadhwa, on Monday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Kishor Lamsal, spokesperson for the Parsa District Police, the deceased has been identified as local resident Zahir Ansari.
The incident occurred at 11:10 am when Ansari received a fatal electric shock while connecting his e-rickshaw to a power source. He was immediately taken to Terai Hospital for treatment but was declared dead upon arrival by the attending doctors.
His body has been sent to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for post-mortem examination, police confirmed.
