A 22-month-old boy died on Sunday after being bitten by a snake in Tulsipur-13, Runiyapur, of Dang district.
According to the Area Police Office in Tulsipur, the child, Anish Pariyar, was playing inside his home when a snake bit the back of his left palm.
He was immediately rushed to Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Snakebite incidents tend to rise across the country during the monsoon season, putting rural communities, especially children, at heightened risk.
