Earthquake injures six people, damages homes

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake with its epicentre near Bhairavkunda in Sindhupalchok in the wee hours on Friday injured six people and damaged a few homes across seven districts.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Dinesh Kumar Acharya, spokesperson for Nepal Police, the earthquake left six individuals injured, including a prisoner in Sindhupalchok and two in Kathmandu. Four houses were damaged—one fully and three partially—while a cattle shed and a police office in Kodari, Sindhupalchok, also sustained partial damage.
In Sankhuwasabha, two homes were reported damaged, and three families have been displaced due to the quake. Authorities have recorded 13 incidents related to the earthquake in the affected districts–Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Sankhuwasabha, Dhading, Bhojpur, Kathmandu, Myagdi–so far.
