Two people died in a motorcycle accident in ward 6 of Lamahi Municipality along the Lamahi-Ghorahi road section early Thursday morning.
The motorcycle, heading from Lamahi to Ghorahi, overturned, causing fatalities, according to police.
The deceased are 22-year-old Shrawan Kumar Pun of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-18, who was the motorcyclist, and 21-year-old Vinod KC of Ghorahi-4, who was the pillion rider.
Both victims were transported to Lamahi Hospital, where they were pronounced dead by the attending doctors.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Prasad Timilsina, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Dang, said an investigation into the accident is underway.
