Scores of people took to the premises of the Patan Durbar Square on Tuesday in solidarity with the Palestinian citizens, demanding that the ongoing war be brought to a stop.

The demonstrators protested against the inhumane brutality that the Palestinian civilians are being subjected to, and demanded that the Israel-Palestine crisis be resolved.

More than 8,500 Palestinians have been killed since the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched armed attacks on Israel on October 7. About 1,500 Israelis have also lost their lives while 239 individuals have been held hostage by Hamas.

Ten Nepali students were killed and four others were injured in the attack. The whereabouts of Nepali student Bipin Joshi, who went missing after the attack, is still unknown.
