Janata Samajbadi Party to field Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav for Vice President

The Janata Samajbadi Party has decided to field its lawmaker Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav for Vice President.
A central working committee meeting of the party held on Thursday decided to that effect.
“The meeting of our central working committee has decided to field Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, the lawmaker elected from Bara-2, for the post of Vice President,” said Shiva Lal Thapa Magar, a senior leader of the party. “No discussions were held about the party’s candidate replacing him at the constituency.”
Former minister Yadav is currently the parliamentary party leader of the Janata Samajbadi Party.
Party chairman Upendra Yadav has been eyeing entering the House of Representatives through a by-election sending Ram Sahay as the Vice President.
The election to elect a new Vice President is scheduled for March 17. The nomination filing has been slated for March 13.
All eyes will be now set on the vice presidential election with Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel elected the third President on Thursday.
