Maoist Centre Chair Dahal elected in Chitwan-3
CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been elected from Chitwan-3. He defeated his closest rival candidate Bikram Pandey, General Secreatery of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), by a margin of 9327 votes.bookmark

CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been elected from Chitwan-3. He defeated his closest rival candidate Bikram Pandey, General Secreatery of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), by a margin of 9327 votes.
Dahal secured 48,269 votes against Pandey’s 38,942 votes. Dahal was the candidate of left alliance including the CPN-UML, while Nepali Congress (NC) supported Pandey’s candidacy.
Dahal had been elected to first Constituency Assembly (CA) from Kathmandu-10 and Rolpa-2 in 2008 and to second CA from Siraha-5 in 2013.
