Yadav lashes out at RJP-N
Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal (SSF-N) Chairman Upendra Yadav on Wednesday lashed out at the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, a unified force of six Madhes-based parties, saying it was formed “at the behest of foreign forces”.Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal (SSF-N) Chairman Upendra Yadav on Wednesday lashed out at the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, a unified force of six Madhes-based parties, saying it was formed “at the behest of foreign forces”.
“The RJP-N is following the instructions given by the foreign forces,” said Yadav at a programme organised in Rajbiraj.
Six Madhes-based parties in the third week of April announced their merger as the RJP-N as part of its bid to press the government to address their demands.
The relations between the SSF-N and the RJP-N have soured in recent days.
The six parties of the RJP-N, the SSF-N and some Janajati forces were earlier brought under the Sanghiya Gathabandhan at the initiative of Yadav.
But last month, Gathabandhan leaders ousted Yadav, charging him with deceiving the alliance for joining the election process without the agitating parties’ demands addressed.
Yadav on Wednesday said that the RJP-N is not a revolutionary party and that it will not be able to ensure the rights of the Madhes and Madhesi people.
While the RJP-N, which did not participate in the first phase of local elections held on May 14, is still reluctant to take part in the second phase of polls, the SSF-N has already started preparations for the polls. “Election is a must to install people’s representatives in the local units,” Yadav said.
