UML wins mayor, deputy mayor in Hetauda sub-metropolitan
CPN-UML candidate Hari Bahadur Mahat has been elected as mayor of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan.

CPN-UML candidate Hari Bahadur Mahat has been elected as mayor of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan. According to the final result published on Wednesday, Mahat became the mayor of Hetauda Submetropolitan by defeating Nepali Congress candidate Ananda Parajuli. Mahat garnered 23,124 votes, while Parajuli received 22,509 votes.
The deputy mayor post also went to the UML. UML candidate Mina Lama secured 23,427 votes to become the deputy mayor, while CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Balaram Bal received 17,011 votes.
The newly elected Mahat had earlier won as the deputy mayor of Hetauda in 1992 and 1997 local elections
