Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday directed the Ministry of Home Affairs and security agencies to form a committee to investigate the alleged murder of Ajit Mijar, a Dalit youth from Panchkhal in Kavre district.
During a meeting with PM Dahal, representatives of Dalit rights organisations sought state initiatives to probe into the murder of 18-year-old youth.
According to Dalit activists, Mijar was murdered in a case related to inter-caste marriage.
Mijar was found hanging on a waiting stand in Gajuri in Dhading district on
July 13.
