The party has demanded that the federalism be scrapped stating that it is the major obstacle in implementing the positive provisions of the constitution.
Party Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC, who also holds the Deputy Prime Minister portfolio, said that federalism would disintegrate the nation hence, they are launching the campaign to aware the general people.
Chairman KC further said that the party is not against the constitution as a whole but has an objection regarding the provision on federalism.
The party informed, as a part of the agitation, it will hold village and district level corner meetings and interaction programmes until July 3, demanding protection of national dignity, control on inflation among others. The party plans to conduct additional programmes of protest from July 3 onwards.
