All Nepal National Industry Trade Association has announced that there was possibility of an import of five million cylinders of cooking gas from China within the fifteen days if the government cooperated towards that end.

The Association's announcement came at a time when the country has been hit by a severe shortage of fuel as a result of India's 'unofficial blockade' on Nepal.

Unveiling the decision of Association's central gathering that concluded at Sauraha, its Chairperson Krishna Acharya said private sector was interested in importing cooking gas and fuel from China if there was active initiation on the part of the government.

The government was not serious towards importing fuel from China, he said.
