Baitadi
The people in Baitadi district have been elated after the rice from Nepal Food Corporation (NFC) reached to the Kalau depot of the district.
People especially from the remote VDCs including Tallo Swarad, Melauli, Kulau, Udayadev and Sharmali are cheerful that NFC has taken 60 quintals of rice in view of the Dashain festival.
Chief District Officer of Kailali, Liladhar Adhikari, said the rice was taken to the Kulau depot of Baitadi, so that people would not face food shortage at least during the Dashain festival.
The rice was sent to Baitadi from Dhangadhi regional office of the NFC.
A local Birendra Mahato, exuding happiness, said, "There is the rice from NFC. It is cheaper than the one in market. This time, we have happy Dashain."
