Dashain is well and truly underway in the Capital as people rush to get last minute shopping done while others are preparing to leave the Valley to return to their home town.Kathmandu: Dashain is well and truly underway in the Capital as people rush to get last minute shopping done while others are preparing to leave the Valley to return to their home town. Nearly 317,000 people have left the Valley in just three days since the festival formally begun on September 21 by observing Ghatasthapana, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division. The Department of Transport Management estimates that over 2 million people will leave Kathmandu to celebrate Dashain with family and friends all over Nepal. (PR)
